Sharde Sangeet Kala Kendra

You can find us over at C-2/103 in Noida. We have been here for a good amount of time, teaching music and arts to whoever wants to learn. It’s not a massive academy, just a couple of rooms where we keep the instruments and the mats for the students. Some days it gets pretty loud with the singing and the harmoniums going all at once, but the neighbors are mostly used to it. We have kids coming in after school and some older folks who want to pick up a hobby in the evenings. The space is simple. We have some posters on the walls of famous musicians and some old trophies from local competitions we've participated in over the years. Noida has changed so much since we first opened, with all these new buildings going up, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People usually find out about us because their cousin or neighbor’s kid takes classes here. We spend a lot of time just practicing and making sure the instruments stay in tune, especially during the humid months. It’s a nice way to spend the day, surrounded by music. We aren't trying to be the biggest school in the city, just a place where people can come and learn at their own pace. It keeps the local culture alive and gives us something meaningful to do every day in Noida.
