Shabana Nabiwani

My name is Shabana Nabiwani. I am based in Noida, specifically in Sector 27 at house D56. Noida is a place that’s always changing, but Sector 27 feels like one of the more settled parts of the city. I’ve been at this address for a good amount of time. The house is a bit old-fashioned compared to some of the new apartments they’re building nearby, but I like it that way. It has more character. My work happens right here in one of the front rooms. I don't have a sign outside or anything like that. People who know me just come to the door. Most of my day is spent answering messages or dealing with local errands. The market nearby is very convenient, so I’m often over there picking up things for the house or for work. I don't really use a lot of technology, just the basics to keep in touch with everyone. It’s a bit dusty here sometimes because of the construction work nearby, but you get used to it. I try to keep my workspace tidy, though it usually ends up covered in papers by midday. It’s just me doing my thing, without any big plans or complicated strategies. I just take the work as it comes and try to be honest in what I do. Living in Sector 27 is mostly peaceful, and I’ve got some good neighbors who have been here as long as I have. We occasionally share snacks when we meet in the garden.
