Unique Labels

Unique Labels is tucked away in Sector-9, at E-51. It’s a standard industrial plot, nothing too flashy to look at from the outside. We’ve been printing labels here for quite some time. Inside, it’s always bright because we need to see the colors clearly. There’s a constant rhythmic sound from the printing presses that becomes like background music after a while. I often find little bits of sticky paper on the soles of my shoes when I go home. It’s just the nature of the job. We don’t have a big corporate hierarchy. I’m the owner, but I’m often helping out with the packing or checking the ink levels. The air inside smells faintly of solvents and paper. We have a small desk near the entrance where we take the orders. Most of our clients are from the local area, so they just drop by with their designs. We don’t do much advertising. People know where we are if they need something labeled. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in, and we’ll order some samosas for the crew. It’s a simple life. We focus on getting the lines straight and the colors right. The machines can be temperamental when the weather gets humid, so we have to keep an eye on them. It’s not a high-tech lab, just a hardworking shop where we try to do right by the people who trust us with their projects.
