Our place is at E-35 Sector 9 and if you come by, you will definitely smell the wood. Paras Timber Plywood Pvt. Ltd. is basically a big shed filled with stacks of plywood and timber. It is heavy work and our clothes usually have sawdust on them by noon. The trucks bring in the sheets and we have to move them around to make space. It is not a quiet job at all. We have been in Sector 9 for a while now and the neighbors know us as the wood people. Sometimes the machines are running and you can't hear yourself think. Other times, it is just us writing down numbers in our ledgers. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights. It is just a practical space for practical items. If you need a specific thickness of plywood, we probably have to dig through a pile to find it. The guys working here have been with us for years. We eat lunch together on the wooden crates. It is just honest labor. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit mixed up and we spend the whole afternoon sorting it out. We don’t really do much advertising. People just know where we are located. We focus on the wood and making sure the counts are right. That is how we spend our days at the yard.
