Our place is over in G.B. Nagar, specifically at A-203 in Sector 83, Phase 2. It’s an industrial kind of area, so there are always trucks and motorbikes moving around outside the building. We focus on Zardozi work and retail stuff. It involves a lot of fine detail, basically looking at fabrics and threads for hours on end. My eyes get pretty tired by the afternoon. We have a few people working on different things at once. The office part is just a few desks and some samples hanging on the walls to show what we do. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights and carpets. It’s more of a practical space where the actual work gets done. People come by to see the patterns or talk about their orders. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait or talk for a bit. It gets quite dusty because of the construction happening nearby. We spend a lot of time checking the finished pieces for any loose threads or mistakes. Retail can be tricky because people want things fast, but this kind of hand-style work takes its own time. We try to explain that to them. Most of our days are spent on the phone or looking at inventory sheets. The building is easy enough to find if you know the sector. We’ve been at this for a while now. It’s just what we do every day.
