Parvez Trading Co.

We operate out of Sector 66. It’s where we make agarbatti and dhoop sticks. If you happen to come by the area, you’ll probably smell the incense before you even see the sign for Parvez Trading Co. We spend most of our time mixing the different powders and rolling the sticks by hand or with simple tools. It’s honestly quite dusty work. Our hands and clothes are usually covered in a layer of wood dust or charcoal by midday. It’s just how it goes in this trade. We have a few machines to help, but a lot of the process is still handled by people sitting on wooden stools. We’ve been in this sector for a bit now. It’s not a large factory, just a decent-sized space where we can fit all the drying racks. The weather matters a lot to us because the sticks need to dry out properly before they can be packed. If it looks like it might rain, we have to move everything inside very quickly. We don't really do any fancy packaging unless a specific customer asks for it. Mostly we just bundle the sticks up in plain paper. The neighbors all know us because of the scent that hangs in the air. Sometimes we run out of the bamboo sticks and have to wait around for the delivery truck to show up. It's a simple, honest business. We don't have a big website or a receptionist. Usually, one of us just answers the phone while we are working.
