We are located at B-86 in Sector 5, right near the big water tank. Most people use the water tank as a landmark to find us because the street signs can be a bit confusing around here. At Kraft Luggage Industries, we make bags and suitcases. The factory floor is always loud with the sound of sewing machines and cutting tools. There are stacks of zippers, fabric rolls, and handles everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We have been in this spot for several years and it suits us fine. The workers here mostly live nearby and walk to the unit every morning. We don't have a corporate office in a skyscraper; we just have a small partitioned area near the front door where we handle the orders and the phones. It gets hot in the middle of the day, so we have some big fans running to keep the air moving. Every bag that goes out has been handled by someone here from start to finish. We don't use much automation, just a lot of manual labor and careful eyes. It’s not the fastest way to do things, but it’s how we’ve always done it. When the sun goes down, we lock up the gate and head home, just like everyone else in the sector. We’ve been at this a while now and we know the routine.
