We’ve been here at the Ratan Shopping Complex in Dharma Market for a while now. If you know Atta Sector-27, you know how busy it gets around here. Our shop, Home Tex, is just one of those places you walk past when you're out doing your regular errands. The stairs up to the complex can be a bit steep sometimes, but once you’re inside, it’s a lot quieter than the street outside. We usually have the radio playing in the background or just talk among ourselves when things are slow. Most people coming in are looking for something specific for their house, though we also get folks just killing time while their family shops elsewhere. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit cluttered with all the fabric and rolls sitting around. We try to keep it organized, but on busy days, it’s hard to stay on top of it. Working in this part of town means you meet all sorts of neighbors. Sometimes it’s hot, sometimes the power goes out, but that’s just how it is in this market. We’ve grown used to the noise from the traffic and the smell of the street food nearby. It’s a decent place to spend the day. Usually, we're just folding things or checking the stock levels to see what we need to get next. It isn’t fancy, but we are here every day. It feels like home after being in this spot for so long.
