Pioneer Plast

Pioneer Plast is over in Sector 11 at D-36. It’s a busy spot, mostly because we’ve got several machines running plastic molds all day long. You can usually smell the warm plastic when you get close to the door. We aren’t doing anything glamorous, just making the parts people need. The space is a bit cramped sometimes with all the boxes of finished goods waiting to be picked up. We have a small crew, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to be doing. Sector 11 isn't too bad for traffic, which helps when the raw material trucks arrive. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone stops by, one of us just wipes our hands and goes to see what they need. It gets noisy inside, so we have to talk loud over the hum of the cooling fans. Sometimes the power acts up, but we just wait it out and get back to the molds. We've been at this address for quite some time, and the building has seen a lot of use. We don't worry much about how the front looks as long as the machines are producing good parts. It’s just a straightforward operation here. No big meetings, just getting through the daily list of items to produce. We like it that way because it keeps things simple and honest for everyone involved in the shop and our neighbors.
