Our little place, Rashi Enterprises, is at C-377 in Sector-10. It’s a bit quieter than the main industrial hubs, which we actually quite like. The morning commute isn't too bad, and we usually get in early to beat the heat. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. The office part is just a couple of desks pushed together with a computer that’s seen better days. We do a lot of our work on the phone or through local contacts. It’s funny how you get used to the small quirks of your workspace, like the window that sticks or the way the light hits the floor in the afternoon. We don’t have a lot of formal rules or a handbook. We just know how things should be done and we do them. If something goes wrong, we talk it out and fix it. There’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a project come together from a few notes on a scrap of paper to a finished delivery. Most of our days are spent checking inventory and making sure the orders are moving along. We don’t have a lobby for visitors, so people usually just walk right into the work area. It’s a very direct way of doing business. We’ve been in Sector-10 for a while and we’ve seen the neighborhood change, but we stay pretty much the same.
