Sahasra Electronics Pvt Ltd is situated at 126-G in the Noida Special Economic Zone, or NSEZ as everyone calls it. Working inside a special zone like this means we have to go through the security gates every morning, which can be a bit of a chore if the line is long. Our building is a large, practical space where we put together electronic parts and circuit boards. It is a very clean environment because dust is bad for the machines, so we spend a lot of time in our white lab coats. It’s not the most stylish look, but it’s necessary for what we do. The sound of the pick-and-place machines is the main thing you hear all day. We have a lot of different people working here, and we all have our specific spots on the line or in the office. The lunchroom is usually the loudest part of the building during the midday break. We talk about our families or the commute, which can be pretty long for some of the staff coming from other parts of Noida. We don't spend time writing fancy goals or company slogans. We just want to make sure the boards are soldered correctly and that they pass the final test. It’s a lot of repetitive movement, but we take pride in not making many mistakes. It is just a regular factory job at the end of the day.
