P.K Engineering Works

P.K Engineering Works has been operating out of Sector 9 for a good while. Our spot at U 30 isn't very large, but we make it work for all the metalwork we handle. It is a typical engineering shop. There is always a layer of iron filings on the floor and the smell of grease in the air. We do a lot of small repairs and custom pieces that people bring in. Sometimes it’s a broken part from a machine, other times it is something completely different. We have a couple of lathes and some welding equipment that stay busy most of the afternoon. It gets loud when the grinders are going. You have to shout to be heard over the noise. We don't have a secretary or anyone to answer the door. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back with our hands dirty. Sector 9 is a practical area. It’s mostly workshops and small businesses like ours. We know the guys in the shops next door. Sometimes we borrow a tool from them, and they do the same with us. It’s a simple way of working. There are no fancy brochures or websites to look at. We just take the jobs as they come in and try to get them out the door as fast as the metal allows. Rain or shine, we are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down, just keeping things moving for our neighbors and customers.
