We are based out in Site-5 of the UPSIDC area in Surajpur. Our specific unit is K-467. It’s a typical industrial setting in Gautambudh Nagar. The roads around here can get pretty dusty with all the heavy trucks passing through, and it’s always busy during the day. We handle export stuff, so our space is mostly a warehouse with a small partitioned area for the office. You’ll see a lot of pallets and packing tape if you walk in. We don’t have a fancy entrance or a receptionist. Usually, one of us will just look up from our desk when someone comes by. The work is mostly about checking orders and making sure everything is packed tight for the long journeys. We’ve been at this site for a good long time and have gotten used to the noise of the neighboring units. It’s not the most beautiful place to work, but it’s practical for what we do. We have a small crew that helps with the heavy lifting and the loading. In the summer, the warehouse gets quite hot, so we try to get most of the physical work done early in the morning. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to get the boxes out on time so we can go home. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in the industrial belt and we take it one day at a time.
