Working inside the Noida Special Economic Zone is quite different from being on a regular street. Here at Sdf Block E-7 8, everything feels a bit more formal because of the security and the gates you have to pass through. Indeutsch Industries Pvt. Ltd. has its setup here, and it’s mostly about the production floor and the machines. We come in early every morning to get everything running. The space is large and smells a bit like metal and industrial materials, which is what you’d expect in an SDF block. There’s a lot of movement throughout the day with people shifting boxes and checking the inventory. We have a small corner for the office work where the light isn't very bright, but it serves its purpose. The lunchroom is where we all gather to talk about things that aren't related to work. We’ve been in this part of Noida for quite some time, so we are used to the strict rules of the economic zone. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and the generators kick in, which is just part of the routine here. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor or the appearance of the place. It’s an industrial unit, and our focus is just on keeping the operations moving from one shift to the next without any major hiccups.
