Nawabs Restaurant

Nawabs Restaurant is right on the Sector 51 Main Road at C-3. Being on the main road means it is never really quiet here. We hear the buses and bikes going past all day long. The building at C-3 has a front area where people can park their scooters. Inside we have a bunch of tables and chairs that we’ve had for years. The kitchen is in the back and that is where most of the work happens. We start chopping vegetables and preparing the meat early in the morning. Sector 51 is a residential area mostly so we see the same faces quite often. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just cook food and serve it to whoever comes in. Sometimes the ceiling fans hum a bit too loud so we have to adjust them. We spend a lot of time sweeping up after the lunch rush. The staff eats together in the late afternoon before the dinner crowd starts showing up. It is a long day from start to finish. We don't have a big website or a social media person. We just rely on the people who live nearby. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon but for now they are fine. We just focus on keeping the kitchen clean and the customers fed. It is a lot of work but it pays the bills.
