Navyuga Engg. Company Ltd

Shahdara is a tight area and Farsh Bazar is always packed with people and shops. Being in Doongar Mohalla, we are right in the middle of all that activity. Navyuga Engg. Company Ltd has this spot at 6/254. It’s an old building, the kind you find in East Delhi with narrow stairs and thick walls. The lanes outside are so small that getting big equipment in or out is always a headache for us. We do engineering work, mostly small parts or repairs that the local market people need. The air around here is usually thick with the smell of metal and engine grease. Our staff has been here for years, so they know all the shortcuts through the mohalla to get things delivered. It’s loud, with motorcycles constantly buzzing past the door and vendors shouting. We have a few machines running in the back room. They make a lot of noise but they get the job done eventually. Sometimes we have to move stuff out onto the street just to have enough room to breathe inside. It’s not a polished office with glass walls or air conditioning. It’s a workshop where things get dirty and hands get stained. We drink a lot of chai from the corner shop while looking over messy drawings. Some days are slow, especially when the summer heat hits. We just keep the fans running and try to stay productive. It’s just how we operate in this part of Delhi.
