Metro Hospital & Heart Institute

Located at X - 1 in Sector - 12, Metro Hospital & Heart Institute is a place many people in the area know well. We are focused on heart health but we do other things as well. The building sits on the X-1 plot and has been there for years. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you aren’t used to it, with different wings for the heart patients and the general wards. We have the ICU and the operation theatres on the upper floors. The ground floor is usually where the activity is, with the reception and the pharmacy. We get people coming in at all hours of the night because heart issues don’t wait for the sun to come up. The staff is used to the odd hours and the emergency calls. We have a cafeteria, but it’s just basic food for the families staying over. Sector - 12 is a central enough location, so it’s easy for ambulances to get in and out. We don’t try to act like a five-star hotel. We are a hospital, with tile floors and fluorescent lights. People come here to get their hearts checked or to recover from surgery. We just focus on the medical side of things and try to make sure everyone gets seen by a doctor. It's a busy, working hospital and we just do our best every day to keep things moving for the patients who need us.
