Masood Painter

My name is Masood and I do painting work around Sector 35 and Morna Village. I’ve lived here for many years and most people just know me as Masood Painter. I don’t have a big office or a secretary. I usually have my brushes, ladders, and paint buckets in the back of my vehicle or at the site where I am working. Whether it is a small room that needs a refresh or a whole house, I just get to it. I also paint gates and grills to keep them from rusting. It’s physical work and the sun can be quite strong when I’m working outside in Morna. I learned this from watching older painters when I was a kid. I try to be careful not to get paint on the floors, but sometimes a drop falls. I just wipe it up. I don't use fancy spray machines much, I prefer using a brush or a roller because I can see what I am doing better. People in Sector 35 usually call me when they want a clean job done without spending too much money. I don't have a big team, just a couple of guys who help me when the job is large. We eat our lunch in the shade and then get back to work. It’s a simple business and it keeps me busy enough. If you see someone with white paint on their clothes in the village, it’s probably me. I just keep working until the sun goes down and everything looks finished. It is honest work.
