Sector 59 is mostly full of industrial blocks and office buildings, so our spot at B 16 feels very much part of that working environment. Lambina Fashion is where we spend our long shifts. It’s a place full of fabric rolls, sewing machines, and people moving around constantly. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a standard concrete block in the sector. Inside, we have rows of wooden tables where we sort through the patterns and materials before they get cut. It gets quite noisy when all the machines are running at once, especially in the afternoon. We usually have the big metal shutters open to let some air in so it doesn't get too stuffy. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique; we just focus on the manufacturing side of things. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we know each other's habits and how we like our tea. Lunch break is usually everyone sitting together on the crates and sharing food from their tiffins. We don't have fancy office chairs, just the basic stools we’ve had for years. The delivery trucks come in and out of the gate all day long. We have to be quick with the loading because the street gets blocked easily by other traffic. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting rolls of cloth and moving heavy boxes around. We just keep at it and make sure things happen.
