Global Autotech

Global Autotech is tucked away in the Hosiery Complex. It’s a bit of a maze getting around Phase II sometimes, especially with all the new extensions, but we’ve made this our home for a good bit of time. We deal with auto parts mostly. It’s a crowded area with a lot of noise, but we don’t mind the buzz. Our team is small, just a handful of us working the machines day in and day out. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we first moved into this spot. The building isn't brand new or anything fancy. It has some character, you could say, with its old walls and worn-out stairs. We spend most of our time on the shop floor. Office work isn't really our thing, so if the phone rings and nobody picks up right away, it’s probably because we’re in the middle of a run. We handle a lot of metal components. It’s grease and hard work every day. Nothing fancy happens here. We just show up, do the shifts, and go home. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, and we just sit outside and chat until it comes back. It's that kind of place. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Word usually travels by mouth from one shop to the next. It’s worked out fine for us so far. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with whatever orders come through the door. It is what it is.
