Our spot is at Plot No. 47 in Sector-58. This part of the sector is mostly factories and workshops, so we fit right in. Friends Forgings Pvt. Ltd. is exactly what the name suggests, a place where we forge metal into the shapes our customers need. It gets very hot near the furnaces, especially during the peak of summer, but that is just part of the trade. We have a lot of heavy equipment here that makes a fair bit of noise. Our workers are local people who know how to handle the heat and the hammers. We do not spend money on fancy lobby decorations because that does not help us forge better parts. Instead, we put our energy into the actual floor work. The yard usually has stacks of raw material waiting to be processed. We take orders and we fill them, keeping things as simple as possible. There is a lot of dust and the sound of metal hitting metal is the background music of our lives. It is a rough and ready environment. We do not have a lot of meetings; we just talk over the noise to get things done. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time and they have the scars and the calluses to prove it. We just keep the hammers moving and make sure the parts go out the gate.
