Out here in Noida Phase II, specifically in Section 9 and around the I-8 area, it’s very industrial. Our place isn't like a boutique shop. It’s a large setup because ceramics take up a lot of room and they are heavy. We have stacks of tiles and ceramic slabs everywhere. The forklift is usually running somewhere in the background. We deal with a lot of people who are doing big projects, but we also have locals who just want a new floor for their kitchen. It gets pretty dusty with all the trucks coming in and out from the main roads. We don’t have a lot of people in suits walking around. It’s mostly guys in work clothes. If you want to see the different patterns, you kind of have to walk through the stacks with us. We try to keep the popular styles in the front. Sometimes a shipment comes in from the factory and it’s a bit different from the last batch, so we have to check everything. It’s a lot of manual work, moving pallets and checking for cracks. Noida is growing so fast that there is always a demand for flooring. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the deliveries go out when the drivers say they will. It’s a busy environment and we don’t have much time for small talk, but we get the job done.
