Dreamland Cottons Pvt. Ltd. operates out of B-172 in Phase-2. It’s an industrial area, so there is always the sound of trucks reversing and people shouting across the street. Our building is a solid, functional place that’s seen a lot of years. Inside, it’s mostly about the cotton. We have big bags and samples of raw material lying around. The air has that specific smell of dry fabric and a bit of dust. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a fancy suit; we’re usually in old clothes that we don't mind getting a bit dirty. The morning starts with checking what came in overnight and what needs to go out by the afternoon. Our office space is just a corner partitioned off from the main floor. We have a couple of old desks and a computer that takes a while to boot up in the morning. Phase-2 is a busy part of town, and lunch usually means getting something from the local stalls nearby. It’s hard work, and it’s often hot in the summer because the warehouse roof holds the heat, but we’re used to the rhythm of it. We just focus on getting the cotton sorted and making sure the counts are right before the day ends and we can head home. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we get through it eventually. It is just the way we have always done things.
