Clinic For All

We have been here at D 3 in Sector 20 for quite a while now. Most people in this part of Sector 20 know where we are, right near the corner. It is a simple place, really. We have some chairs in the front for when it gets busy, though sometimes they aren't enough when everyone shows up at once on a Monday morning. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving when it gets hot outside. People come in for all sorts of things, maybe a fever or just a quick check on their blood pressure. We know the families around here, seeing the kids grow up over the years. It is funny how time passes when you are working in the same spot every day. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but they hold a lot of memories. You can hear the traffic from the street clearly if the door is left open, which it usually is. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the one out front that lets you know you're in the right place. It’s mostly just us doing our work and helping out whoever walks through the door. We try to keep things organized with our paper files, even if they get a bit dusty on the shelves. It’s just how we do things here in our little corner of the world. We don't make much of a fuss, just open up and stay until the last person leaves.
