Our facility is set up in units 112 and 113 within the N.S.E.Z. area. It’s a dedicated zone for this kind of work, so we’re surrounded by other factories and warehouses. At Atco Flexduct, we spend our hours making flexible ducting for various uses. The shop floor is always active, with machines running and people moving rolls of material from one side to the other. It’s a loud environment, but it’s where we feel most productive. We have a lot of space in these two units, which is necessary for the length of the ducts we produce. The air is often filled with the smell of the materials we use, and everyone wears their work gear and stays focused. We aren't really set up for visitors who want a polished tour; it’s a working factory through and through. We keep track of our shipments and make sure the ducts are finished properly before anything goes out the gate. Being in the N.S.E.Z. means we have a lot of rules to follow regarding security and logistics, so we stay pretty disciplined. It’s a straightforward operation. We get the raw materials in, we process them through our machines, and we pack them up. There’s a certain satisfaction in seeing the finished products stacked up and ready to go at the end of a long shift. We just keep the machines moving.
