We’re located out at Plot No.28 in Sector 4. It’s a typical industrial spot, lots of grey buildings and lorries lining the streets from morning until night. Ask Automotive has been operating from here for a good stretch of time now. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of metal hitting metal and the sharp smell of grease. We make parts for cars and bikes. It’s the kind of work where you’re on your feet all day, checking gauges and making sure the molds are coming out right. We don’t spend much time on fancy emails or long meetings. Most of our talking happens right on the factory floor over the noise. We’ve got a lot of heavy machinery that needs constant looking after and oiling. If one thing breaks, the whole line stops, so we’re always a bit on edge trying to keep things running. The guys here wear overalls that have seen better days and have plenty of oil stains. We get a lot of dust from the nearby construction, so we’re always sweeping up the floor. It’s a straightforward business. We get an order, we make the parts, and we ship them out. There’s no secret to it, just a lot of repetitive tasks and keeping an eye on the clock. It gets hot in the summer, but we’ve got big shutters we pull up to let the breeze in and keep us moving through the day.
