We are over at C-120 in Sector-10. It’s easy to spot once you turn into the block. We deal with cars mostly. It’s a mix of general maintenance and those annoying noises people can’t figure out on their own. We spend a lot of time under hoods or looking at tires. The floor has those permanent oil stains that never really go away, but that’s a garage for you. It’s not a showroom where everything is shiny. We have tools scattered around and parts waiting to be picked up by the delivery guys. Usually, there’s a radio playing in the background, though half the time we can’t hear it over the sound of an engine revving or a pneumatic wrench. People from the neighborhood drop their cars off in the morning and hope to have them back by evening. We try to keep things moving. It gets hectic when three people show up at once with flat tires or dead batteries. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with a TV. Most people just stand around and chat for a bit while we work. It’s a practical place. We focus on getting the vehicles back on the road. Sometimes we’re working late if a job turns out to be trickier than it looked. It’s just me and a couple of guys who know their way around a wrench. We spend most of our days here and try to keep the clutter down.
