Jaypee Group

Our place is out in Kasganj, near the Bilram Gate in Etah. It’s a very local operation for the Jaypee Group. The building has been here for years and it shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy. We don't have air conditioning, just some old ceiling fans that creak while they spin. Most of our work involves the agricultural and industrial side of things that happen in this part of U.P. It’s a dusty area, so we’re always cleaning off the desks. We have a small courtyard where we sit sometimes when the weather is decent. The people working here are all from nearby villages. We don't use much technology beyond the basics. A lot of our day is spent talking to contractors or checking on shipments coming through the gate. It’s a loud, busy spot during the day with all the trucks passing by. We keep the doors open to catch any breeze we can. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s honest work. We know everyone in the market nearby, and they know us. We just handle the business as it comes and try to stay on top of the local demands. It’s a simple, straightforward way of running things. Sometimes the electricity goes out, but we just keep working by the windows until it comes back on.
