Jaiprakash Associates

This office is part of the Yamuna Expressway Project. It is where the Manager for Logistics and Admin is based for Jaiprakash Associates. It isn't a typical city office. It's more of a site-based setup where things are always moving. We deal with the logistics side of things, so it’s a lot of tracking and organizing. There is usually a bit of dust around because of the project work, and people are always coming in and out with boots on. It’s a practical place. We don't have fancy carpets or expensive art on the walls. It’s just maps, schedules, and a lot of clipboards. We spend our time making sure things get from one place to another without too much trouble. It can get a bit loud with the machinery and vehicles nearby, but that’s the nature of the job. We aren't here to look pretty; we are here to make sure the admin work stays on track. It is a lot of coordination and talking to drivers or site workers. We eat our lunch at our desks most days. There is always a pot of tea or coffee going because the days can be long. It’s hard work and it’s not always clean, but we get it done. We are just a team of people keeping the back-end of the project running as smoothly as we can.
