American Express

Our little spot is over in 3D, Mansarovar Appts., in Sector-61, Noida. It’s a bit different than what people might expect when they hear the name American Express, because we are tucked away in an apartment complex. It’s a quiet area mostly, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on numbers and paperwork. We don’t have a big glass front or a lobby with a receptionist. It’s just our office space where a few of us sit and handle our specific tasks. The apartment has been converted to fit our desks and computers, so it feels a bit like working from home but with colleagues. We have our tea breaks in the small kitchen and usually chat about the weather or the traffic. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have those long corporate seminars or anything like that here. We just have our lists of things to do and we get through them. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is fine. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of place. Most of the people in the other apartments probably don’t even realize there’s an office here. We like it that way because it stays peaceful. We just focus on our work and try to keep things organized without making a big deal out of it. It’s just how we run things here in Sector-61. No big mystery to it.
