We have been sitting here in Macherla for a long time now. The sun gets really hot over the yard where we keep the tractors and those heavy trolleys. Usually, the day starts with someone coming in from the nearby fields asking about a part or just looking at the new stock we got in. Our place at H No 6-28 isn't fancy, just a regular spot in Armoor where there is always some grease on the floor and the smell of diesel in the air. People know us around here because we’ve been part of the landscape for years. We spend a lot of time just moving things around to make space. It’s noisy when the engines start up, but that’s just how it is. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we manage. We don’t have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and the equipment. It’s practical work. My hands are usually dirty by noon. We see the same faces every week, mostly farmers and guys who do hauling work. We talk about the weather and the crops while looking at the hitches and the wheels. It’s a simple life here in this part of town. We just keep the gates open and wait for the next person to drive in. It gets quiet in the evenings when the sun goes down over the fields and we finally close up.
