Vani Vocational Junior College

If you walk into Fahad Towers here in Nizamabad, you’ll find us on one of the floors. Vani Vocational Junior College has been operating out of this spot for a good bit of time now. It’s mostly students coming in from the surrounding areas to pick up a trade or finish their intermediate studies. The hallways can get quite loud between the class shifts. We don't have a sprawling campus with trees and sports fields, just the rooms we have in the building. It’s practical. Most of the desks have seen better days but they serve the purpose. The staff stays busy with paperwork and making sure the students actually show up for their practicals. In a place like Nizamabad, people are looking for ways to get a job or move on to a degree, so we stay focused on the curriculum. We don’t do much in the way of big events or fancy ceremonies. It’s more about getting through the syllabus and helping the kids understand what they’re studying. The elevators in the building can be a bit slow in the mornings, so there’s usually a crowd of students waiting downstairs. We see a lot of different faces every year. Some are really motivated and some need a bit of a push to get their work done. It is just a regular local college doing its thing day after day without much fuss or fanfare. It’s not flashy, but it gets the job done.
