We operate Starvelater Food Services Privatelimited from our place in Bheemaram. The address is 55-3-699/2/1, which is just a regular building in a residential street. The name we chose always makes people smile, but the work we do is quite repetitive and physical. We handle food service tasks, which means a lot of prep work and making sure everything is clean. Bheemaram has been growing a lot lately, so there are more people around than there used to be. Our space is functional but definitely not fancy. We have some industrial-sized sinks and a few big tables for packing. It gets pretty loud when the fans are on and everyone is talking at once. We don't have a big HR department or anything like that; it’s just a few of us who have known each other for years. Some days we have issues with the water supply or the electricity cuts out for an hour, which can really slow us down. We don't put out brochures or try to sound like a big company. We just do the work that comes in and try to stay on top of the bills. Most of our time is spent checking the quality of the ingredients we get from the local markets. It’s a lot of standing around and moving heavy containers, but it’s a steady job and we like the independence it gives us. The neighbors are nice and sometimes bring us extra tea in the afternoons.
