About Sri Sakthi Drawing School – Education in Nizamabad
Sri Sakthi Drawing School is tucked away at Hno 6-11-5 in Namdevwada in Nizamabad. It’s a place where you will find a lot of paper and pencils scattered around the tables. The walls are mostly covered with sketches and drawings that students have left behind over the months. It’s not a very big space so it can get quite loud and crowded when the classes are in session. We have benches and stools that have been used for years and they show some wear and tear. There is usually the smell of graphite and erasers in the air. I spend my time showing people how to hold a pencil or mix colors. It’s a slow process and requires a lot of patience from everyone involved. Some days the light coming through the windows is just right for drawing and other days we have to rely on the overhead bulbs which aren't as good. We get all kinds of people coming in from young children to older folks who just want to try something new. It isn't a fancy art gallery or a high-end studio. It’s just a humble room where people can sit down and draw for a few hours. Sometimes we run out of supplies and have to wait for the next batch to arrive from the shop. It’s a simple life focused on teaching and practicing. We just take it one day at a time here in Nizamabad. There isn't really much more to say about it than that.
