About Rajanna Gruha Bojanam – Food & Beverages in Nizamabad
We set up Rajanna Gruha Bojanam right on Gowdan Road, just across from Hotel Mayura. It’s a small place, mostly just a kitchen and some tables for people to sit at. We do home-style cooking because that’s what we know how to make. Every morning starts with getting the vegetables from the market and getting the rice started. It gets pretty hot in the kitchen, especially around lunchtime when everyone comes in at once. We don't have a massive menu with a hundred items. We just make the regular meals that people eat every day at home. The plates are simple and we try to keep things clean. It’s not a fancy restaurant with waiters in suits or anything like that. It’s just us serving food to people who are working nearby or passing through. Sometimes we run out of certain things early if it's a busy day. That's just how it is when you cook in small batches and don't want to waste anything. We use the same spices we use in our own houses. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it stays busy. We spend most of our time over the stove or washing up dishes. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. People seem to find us easily enough since we are right opposite the big hotel. We just keep the doors open and keep the pots moving.
