If you’ve ever been out this way, you know it’s mostly fields and open space, which is good for the birds. Running a poultry farm isn't exactly a clean job. There’s always feed to move and the birds need constant attention from early in the morning until late at night. We spend a lot of time checking on the stock and making sure the feed is right. It gets dusty out here, especially when the trucks come in, but that’s just part of the lifestyle. We started this because it seemed like a good way to work for ourselves. It’s not like those big industrial farms you see in movies; it’s more of a family-run thing where everyone chips in when they can. Nizamabad can get really hot, so we have to watch the temperature in the sheds pretty closely. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting bags and moving things around, but we’re used to it by now. We don't have a fancy website or a big staff. It’s just us out here in Pocharam Shivar doing the work every day. We just try to keep things steady and make sure the birds are healthy and the feed is ready for whoever needs it. Most of the neighbors know us by now because we’ve been here so long.
