Our workshop is located at Door No: 4-89/1 in Madanpally Thanda. It’s a place where we deal with tractors and trolleys all day long. If you come by, you’ll likely hear the sound of welding or metal hitting metal. We handle repairs and we also put together trolleys for the local farmers. It’s dirty work, with a lot of grease and iron filings on the floor. Megavath Laxmi Bai started this to help the folks in the thanda get their equipment fixed without having to travel too far. We have a big open area where the tractors can pull in. There is usually a dog sleeping in the shade under one of the trailers. We don't have a shiny office or air conditioning. We just have our tools and our hands. Sometimes we run out of a specific part and have to wait for the delivery from the city. The sun gets really hot in Madanpally, so we take breaks in the middle of the day when it’s too much. We aren't some big manufacturing plant. We’re just a local shop making sure the tractors are ready for the field. People know they can come here and get an honest look at their machine. It’s a tough job but it’s important for the farms around here. We just do our best every day and keep the work going until it’s time to go home.
