Mani Bor Wells

Mani Bor Wells is located on Subash Road in Gandhari, which is part of the Nizamabad district. Our house number is 4-21/1, and that is where we keep the rigs and the pipes when they are not out at a site. Drilling for water is a tough job, especially around here where the ground can be very stubborn. We spend a lot of our time out in the sun, covered in dust and mud, trying to find a good source for the farmers and homeowners in the area. The equipment is heavy and loud, and it takes a lot of maintenance to keep the drills sharp and the engines running. We have been doing this in Nizamabad for years, so we have a pretty good feel for where the water might be, though you never know for sure until you start digging. Subash Road is a busy spot, and our yard is often a mess of grease and metal, but that is the nature of the work. When we are not out drilling, we are usually right here fixing the machines or talking to people about their land. We do not make big promises about finding water every single time because nature does what it wants, but we always give it a fair go. It is a tiring life, moving from one village to the next, but seeing water come out of a dry hole is always a good feeling.
