Mak Old Motors Parts

People usually find us by looking for the big pile of metal near Auto Nagar. It’s messy here, but that’s how it goes when you deal with old motors. We spend most mornings sorting through gaskets and pistons that have seen better days. The shop floor is always a bit slick with oil no matter how much we sweep it. It’s just me and a couple of others trying to keep things organized enough so we can actually find the part someone is asking for. Sometimes a guy comes in looking for something for a truck that hasn't been made in twenty years, and we have to dig through the back corner for an hour. It’s dusty work. We usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background to drown out the noise from the street. Lunch is usually a quick thing from the stall around the corner. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. People just stand around and talk while we look for what they need. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes things fall over, but we know where most of it is. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and getting our hands dirty every single day. By the time we close up, the sun is usually hitting the metal scraps in the yard just right. It's a simple life, just dealing with machines and parts. We have been in this spot for a while now and everyone knows us.
