Modern Cement Brick Industries

Out here in Kotagiri Village, things move a bit slower than in the city, but at Modern Cement Brick Industries, we stay pretty occupied. Our yard at 12 5/2/A is usually full of stacks of bricks drying in the sun. Making cement bricks is heavy work, and our clothes are almost always covered in a fine grey dust by noon. We’ve been part of the Kotagiri Mandal landscape for a while, supplying blocks to people building houses or walls nearby. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend our days mixing the right proportions of cement and grit, then pressing them into the molds. You have to be careful with the drying process, or they won't hold up. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our orders come from people driving by or builders who have used our stuff before. The machines are loud, and the yard is a bit of a maze once the production picks up. Sometimes the weather doesn't play nice, and rain can really mess with our schedule, but we do our best to keep things moving. It’s just a group of us working hard to make sure the bricks are solid and ready to go. If you come by the village, you’ll likely hear the mixer running before you even see the gate.
