Jayarama Alva

It’s just me and a couple of others here at the Mirchi Compound. Jayarama Alva is the name on the door, but most people just know the spot by the address. We’ve been at 7-1/1/5 for a while now. The compound is usually a bit dusty, especially when there’s a lot of movement. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for it, but we like it that way. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever comes in that day. There’s a lot of checking lists and making sure the numbers match up. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow, but usually, we stay busy enough. I started doing this because it’s what I know. There aren't any big meetings or long emails here. It’s just practical stuff. We have some old desks and a lot of floor space for the inventory. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break then. We aren’t trying to grow into some huge corporation. We just want to keep things running steady. Sometimes the truck drivers stay for tea and we hear news from other parts of the region. It’s a simple routine. We get here early, do the work, and go home. People know where to find us if they need something handled. It’s just regular work for regular people, and that suits us fine.
