Home Hardware is right on the Main Road in Bodhan. We are very close to the bus stand, so we get a lot of people wandering in while they wait for their ride. The noise of the buses pulling in and out is something we hear all day long. It’s a dusty place because the road is always busy, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the tools and boxes. We have a mix of everything a homeowner might need for a quick fix. Hammers, nails, some plumbing bits, and bits of wire are scattered around. We try to keep it organized, but sometimes things get misplaced when we are in a hurry. The shop has been here for years, and the front sign is starting to fade from the sun. We don't have a big mission statement. We just sell hardware. Most of our customers are locals from Bodhan or farmers from nearby who need a specific part for their equipment. We sit on plastic stools behind the counter and wait for the next person. It’s a slow life on some days and very frantic on others when the rain starts and everyone needs plastic sheets or fixings. We just take it as it comes. Usually, we end the day by sweeping out the dust and locking the big metal gate. It’s just a standard hardware shop for the local folks.
