Bhuli Bai Transport

This transport business is run right out of our house at number 8-29 in Magya Nayak Thanda. Dichpally is a quiet place most of the time, but we keep things moving with the trucks. It started out small, just trying to get goods from one village to the next without too much trouble. My family helps out with the booking and keeping track of where the drivers are at any given time. We have a few vehicles that we try to keep in good shape, though the roads around here can be pretty rough on the tires. You’ll usually see a truck parked outside or someone tinkering with an engine in the yard. We don't have a big fancy office or anything, just a desk and some ledgers to write down the trips. People from the thanda know where to find us if they need something moved to the city or back. It’s a lot of early mornings and late nights waiting for a phone call that a delivery arrived. Sometimes things get delayed, but we just try to get it sorted out as fast as we can. It’s hard work, and the sun gets hot out here in Dichpally, but we’ve been doing this for a while now. We know the routes well and just focus on making the next trip. There is usually grease on the porch and a dog sleeping under the trailer waiting for the next load to arrive.
