Bhargavi Wooden Furniture Work

Bhargavi Wooden Furniture Work has been running out of our spot in Pachalanadekuda for a while now. If you walk by our place in Vellpur, you’ll usually see a lot of sawdust on the floor and hear the sound of the saw going through teak or rosewood. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It is just a few of us here in Nizamabad working with our hands. We make things like sturdy bed frames, heavy dining tables, and those small cupboards people need for their kitchens. Sometimes a neighbor comes in with a rough drawing on a scrap of paper, and we try to figure out how to build it for them. It’s dusty work and the summer heat makes the workshop pretty warm, but we get through it. We spend most of the morning measuring twice so we only have to cut once. Wood is getting expensive these days, so we try not to waste any. Our tools are old but they still work fine for what we do. We don't have a fancy showroom. Everything we finish usually sits in the corner until the owner comes to pick it up with a rickshaw or a small truck. Most people in the 503001 area know where we are. It’s not a quiet job, but there is something nice about seeing a plain piece of wood turn into a chair by the end of the week. We just keep our heads down and work.
