Bahadurmal Chowdhary & Sons

We are based out in Khanapur, which is on the outskirts of Nizamabad. The address is Survey Number P/1. It’s a family-run business, as you can probably tell from the name. My father and my brothers all work here. We handle a bit of everything, mostly related to agricultural goods and some trading. The yard is large, which is good because we need the space for storage. We’ve been at this location for a long time. The building is old, made of stone and brick, and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name painted on the gate. People in the village know us well. They come by to talk or to see what we have in stock. We don't use computers much, mostly just keeping logs in big ledgers. It’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to find an old record, but we get there. The road out here can get muddy during the monsoon season, making it hard for the tractors to get in and out. We usually spend those days doing indoor maintenance. It’s a simple life. We start early, around seven, and finish when the sun goes down. There isn't much to say other than we work hard and try to stay fair with everyone who walks through the gate. We often share our lunches together in the shade of the big neem tree.
