Ateeq Saw Mill

Ateeq Saw Mill sits on Plot No 11, across Sy No 2337 and 2339 in Yousufbagh. If you come by, the first thing you’ll notice is the smell of fresh wood and the sound of the big saws running. It’s a traditional sawmill. We spend our days cutting logs into planks and getting wood ready for whatever people need. There’s sawdust everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just part of the atmosphere. We’ve been in Yousufbagh for quite a while, and the locals know us as the place to get timber. We don’t have any fancy computers or high-tech systems. We use our eyes and our hands mostly. The work is physically demanding and it can be dangerous if you aren't paying attention, so we stay focused. We have a small crew of men who are really good with the machinery. We don't really have an office; we usually just talk to customers right there in the yard among the stacks of wood. It's a very straightforward way of doing business. We buy logs, we cut them, and we sell the pieces. There’s no hidden agenda or complex business model. We like the smell of the timber and the feeling of making something useful out of a raw log. It’s a simple life and a simple business, and that suits us just fine. No marketing needed, just wood and sweat.
