Samariya Foundation

Samariya Foundation is located right on the Kankarbaghold Bypass Main Road, which is always a bit of a mess with all the trucks and cars zooming by. Sam Singh is the one who handles things at this spot. It’s a pretty busy area in Patna, so there is never a quiet moment during the day. We have been here for a while now, just doing our thing in a small office that doesn’t have much in the way of decoration. To be honest, most of our furniture is just old chairs and a desk that wobbles if you lean on it too hard. People around Kankarbagh know where we are because of the landmark, but it still feels like a local operation. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few people who show up and see what needs to be done. It’s not always easy keeping up with the pace of the city, especially when the dust from the bypass gets into everything. We spend a lot of time just talking to the people who walk in off the street. Some of them are just looking for directions, but others want to know what Samariya Foundation is all about. We explain it as best as we can without using any of those big words you see in brochures. It’s just a place where we try to help out when we can, and we don't mind the noise and the mess that comes with being on a main road like this.
