Our place is at the Neginegi Niwas in Chalounti, house number 1114. Sh. D.L. Negi is the head of the household and the farm is run from right there in the village. It’s a small setup, just a local partnership doing what we can with the land we have available to us. Chalounti isn't the biggest place in the world, so everyone usually knows where the house is if they need to find us. We don't have a fancy storefront or a big sign out front that lights up at night or anything like that. Mostly, we just work out of the back and use the living room table for the paperwork when the sun finally goes down. It's a lot of manual labor, day in and day out, but we've gotten used to the rhythm of it over the years. My nephew helps out with the transport when he isn't busy with his own jobs in town. We don't go in for all those modern management styles you see in the big city offices. We just talk things over over a hot cup of tea and decide what needs doing for the next week. Sometimes the winter gets real tough with the snow and we have to slow down, but there's always something to fix or a plan to make for spring. It’s just us trying to keep the farm going and making sure the family name stays attached to honest work. We aren't looking to expand into some massive empire, just keeping things steady in our little corner of the world.
