Ranjith Cements

Ranjith Cements is situated at 15-6-1 in Sastry Nagar, over in Ibrahim Bagh. We’ve been supplying cement to the folks around here for a good while. It’s a heavy job, mostly unloading trucks and then loading the bags back onto smaller tempos or rickshaws for local delivery. The place is pretty simple. We have a covered area to keep the bags dry because obviously, rain is the enemy in this business. There is always a layer of cement dust on the floor, and my clothes are usually stained with it by the end of the shift. We don't have a fancy showroom or a big sales team. It’s just us and the inventory. People from Sastry Nagar come by when they’re building a new room or fixing a wall. We know the local builders and they know they can just pull up and get what they need. Ibrahim Bagh can get pretty congested, especially when the big supply trucks are trying to back in. It takes a bit of patience to work here, but we like the routine of it. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right so we don't have to turn anyone away. It’s a basic business, but it keeps the neighborhood growing, which is fine by us. Usually, we're here from early morning until the sun goes down and the last truck leaves the yard for the day. That is just how the cement business works.
