M. K. G. Kirana

Living in Village Jainoor is pretty straightforward, and having M. K. G. Kirana here makes things a bit easier for everyone nearby. We don't have those bright neon signs or anything like that. It’s just a shop where you can get the things you need for your kitchen or your house. We’ve got bags of rice, some lentils, and the usual soaps and matches that people run out of. The shop stays open pretty late most days because you never know when someone might need something last minute for dinner. The shelves are a bit crowded sometimes, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, the morning is the busiest time when everyone is getting ready for their day and needs milk or some tea powder. We hear a lot of stories from the people who come in. It’s how we keep up with what’s happening in the village. It isn’t just about selling stuff; it’s more about seeing the same faces every day. We’ve known most of our customers since they were kids. The building is simple, and we try to keep it clean, though dust from the road always finds its way in. It’s a lot of work carrying the heavy sacks and keeping the accounts, but it’s what we do. We don't think much about being a big business, we just want to be here for Jainoor. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when the shop is quiet and just watch the street for a while.
